Unsurprisingly, as a result, sell outs are rare in the extreme. Buy tickets at the ground up to a week in advance of the match. Stadium - El Madrigal is a compact, English-style ground located on the north of the town, just a few minutes walk from the centre. Ultra Culture - Villarreal's ultras are known as the Frente Amarillo.

Overview - Villarreal is a small town, almost a suburb of the city of Castellon, 40 miles north of Valencia. It is famous for one thing and one thing only - it's over-achieving La Liga football club. Airport & Transfers - The nearest airport is in Valencia, 40 miles south of Villarreal. Buses link the airport to central Valencia (2.50Euros), from where you can catch a train to Villarreal - journey time approx. 1 hour. See www.bahn.de for train timetables. Nightlife - Not a deal going on, which is no surprise considering the town's size. Better off stopping in Castellon or Valencia.
