Valencia CF

Official website - http://www.valenciacf.es/

Tickets - Available at the ticket office at the ground 2-3 days before the match. 55,000 seats means sell outs are rare, except for the big games.

Stadium - For the time being Valencia continue to play their home games at the famous Estadio Mestalla. Enjoy it while you can though, as by 2009 they will have moved to a futuristic new 75,000 seater stadium. The Mestalla is a 25 minute walk east of the city centre along Avenida de Aragon. Alternatively take the green metro line 5 to the Aragon station directly outside the ground.

Ultra Culture - Valencia's main crew are the right-wing, Barca hating Los Yumos Ultras in the corner of the North Stand.

Overview - Comprising ultra-modern architecture with an atmospheric old town (Barrio del Carmen) and beachside location, this fiesta-loving city is now seriously rivalling Barcelona as THE city of Spain's east coast. Chuck in some hectic nightlife and two La Liga clubs and you've got a cocktail for a seriously good European football trip.

Airports & Transfers - Aeropuerto de Manises - six miles west of the centre, linked by buses every 20mins taking 45mins journey time. Tickets are 2.50Euros. Taxi's 20Euros.

Nightlife - Lots of it! In the Barrio del Carmen head for the area around Calle Caballeros. Alternatively, check out Paseo de Neptuno down by the beach or the trendy bars of Plaza del Carmen. There are several big clubs in town too, including Pacha on Calle San Vicente. The university district along Avenida Blasco Ibanez and Plaza de Xuquer is awash with late-night bars and clubs also.

Shopping - Calle Colon and surrounding streets is the main shopping hub, with department stores and international designers galore.
