Overview - Most of the millions of Brits who visit Majorca each year see little more of Palma than the airport as they head for the resorts around the island. The city itself is the polar opposite of those resorts with its boutique hotels, first-class restaurants and elegantly preserved medieval buildings. There's good nightlife and La Liga football to be had too, making this an ideal European football travel destination.
Airport & Transfers - Palma Airport - seven miles east of the centre, linked by bus no. 1 every 20mins at a cost of 1.85Euros. Takes 30mins. Taxi's 15Euros.
Nightlife - Sa Llotja is Palma's livliest bar area after dark. Clubbers should head down the Passeig Maritim later on.
Shopping - The main shopping area for designer shops and up-market boutiques in Palma is Avinguda Jaume III and the Passeig des Born.
