Levante UD

Official website - http://www.levanteud.com/

Tickets - Levante's fan base isn't massive and they rarely fill the 25,000 seats of their stadium, so tickets aren't usually a problem to get hold of. Try the ticket office at the ground.

Stadium - Located on the north-eastern extreme of the city, the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia is a 25,000 capacity, red and blue seated bowl best reached by taking metro line 3 to the Machado station.

Ultra Culture - Despite being the older of the Valencian clubs, the club's lack of success on the field means their numbers can't compete with those of their cross-city rivals off it. They claim to be the true fans of the city though, and the Forca Llevant Ultras help keep the flag flying.

Overview - Contrasting ultra-modern architecture with an atmospheric old town (Barrio del Carmen) and beachside location, the fiesta-loving city of Valencia is now a serious contender to Barcelona as THE city of Spain's east coast. Throw in some hectic nightlife and two La Liga clubs and you've got a recipe for one seriously good European football trip.

Airports & Transfers - Aeropuerto de Manises - 6 miles west of the city centre, linked by buses every 20 minutes with a 45 minute journey time. Tickets cost 2.50 Euros. Taxis are approx. 20 Euros.

Nightlife - Plenty of it! In the Barrio del Carmen head for Calle Caballeros and surrounding area. Alternatively, check out the trendy bars of Plaza del Carmen or Paseo de Neptuno down by the beach. You'll find lots of clubs in town too, perhaps the most famous being Pacha on Calle San Vicente. Further out, the university district along Avenida Blasco Ibanez and Plaza de Xuquer is chocker with late-bars and clubs also.

Shopping - The main shopping hub is in Calle Colon and surrounding streets, with department stores rubbing shoulders with international designers.
