Tickets - Fair play if you've managed to bag yourself a ticket via the official UEFA ticketing website. For the rest of us it'll be the usual hanging around train stations, haggling with touts for overpriced, unwanted corporate cast-offs. The main train station - or Hauptbahnhof - is located south of the Old Town. Be on the alert for scousers in tracksuits.
Stadium - The brand-new 32,000 Worthersee Stadion, home of the brand-new club SK Austria Kärnten, is located a couple of miles south-west of the city centre, near the crystalline waters of the Worthersee lake. A steady half hour stroll down Siebenhügelstrasse, or Bus no. 90 if you can't be jacked, will get you there.
Overview - This sleepy southern city, close to the Italian and Slovenian borders, draws plenty of visitors in the summer thanks to the nearby Worthersee lake - also the name of Klagenfurt's brand-new Euro 2008 stadium.
Airport & Transfers - Klagenfurt Airport - two miles north-east of the centre, linked by Buses 42 and 45 every half an hour, taking 15mins - 2Euros. Taxi's 10Euros.
Nightlife - The heart of the city's nightlife is Pfarrplatz and the adjoining streets towards the north of the Old Town (Aldstadt).
Shopping - All shops of note are within the pedestrianised Aldstadt.
