Cheap European Air Travel

More often than not, the cheapest, quickest and most convenient way to get away is via cheap European air travel. Flexibility and booking well in advance are the keys to getting the best prices on flights. With more than a hundred budget airlines currently competing to offer the cheapest seats in the sky, the choice has never been greater.

And the good news is that trawling through all those airline's websites for the best Europe airfares, promotions, cheap tickets has never been easier thanks to a number of specialist flight search engines, the best of which is www.skyscanner.net

Here you can be as specific or as flexible as you like. For example, say you fancied a trip to Madrid, but you weren't fussed when you went and you could fly from any airport in the UK. Simply select the relevant "To", "From" and "Dates" information from the drop-down menus and skyscanner will search through all the online cheap air travel in Europe with those criteria.

Change the "From", "To" and "Dates" to suit your own specific cheap European air travel requirements.

If you can't be flexible with airports and dates and skyscanner doesn't throw up any cheap fares, don't despair. Whereas skyscanner only searches budget Europe discounted airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet, other comparison websites like www.ebookers.com or www.opodo.co.uk check the "normal" airlines like British Airways and Iberia, who themselves will often have good deals on, offering cheap airfare within Europe. Always worth a check, don't assume the budget airlines will be the cheapest.

Also worth bearing in mind is the fact that budget airlines don't always fly to their exact advertised destinations. Ryanair, for example, advertise flights to Barcelona which actually land 100km away in Girona. I once missed the connecting bus from Barcelona back to Girona and subsequently had to get a taxi costing 130 Euros in order to catch my flight home - not a happy chappy! Transfer costs can easily add up, so it's sometimes worth paying that bit extra to actually land in the city you want to in the first place.

Most important of all in securing cheap European air travel though, IS TO BOOK IT AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!
