Tickets - With almost every game sold out to club members and season ticket holders, tickets for Bayern games are something of a scarcity. Any tickets that are available go on sale through the club's

. Champions League and German cup matches are your best bet. Alternatively, sack Bayern off and go and watch TSV 1860 play at the Allianz Arena instead. Tickets are always available for them.

Ultra Culture - Bayern's Schickeria München ultras are housed in the Sudkurve of the Allianz.
Overview - Munich is a friendly, modern city with a young feel and some lively nightlife. It's also home to Germany's biggest football club, FC Bayern, making it a superb European football travel destination.
Airports & Transfers - Franz-Josef Strauss - twenty-five miles north-east of the city centre, connected by S-Bahn lines. Journey time 40mins. Taxi's 50Euros.
Nightlife - Down a stein or two in the famous Hofbrauhaus bierkeller in the middle of town, but don't hang around too long. Head a mile or so north to the Schwabing university district instead. Leopoldstrasse and its surrounding streets are jam-packed with bars and clubs. Highly recommended.
Shopping - The pedestrianised streets radiating north from the main square, Marienplatz, contain all the usual suspects, with the more exclusive names clustered around Maximilianstrasse and Theatinerstrasse.
